Outline

We will have an international workshop "Strings, Branes and Unified Theories" at Yukawa Institute of Theoretical Physics from 12 to 16 of November, 2001.

The workshop covers the following subjects:

  1. String theory, M-theory
  2. Duality between D-branes and gauge theories
  3. Non-commutative gauge theory, Non-commutative solitons
  4. String field theory
  5. Supersymmetry
  6. Brane world
  7. Large scale compactification
  8. Other related topics
One purpose of this workshop is to provide an oppertunity of interaction between different fields in particle physics. For this purpose, we have invited speakers both of string theory and of phenomenology.

Date and Place

Date:
From 12(Mon) to 16(Fri) of November, 2001
Place:
Auditorium in Yukawa Institute of Theoretical Physics, Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan

Registration

Registration has been already closed.

We will not provide any accomodation. The participants are asked to find their accomodation by themselves. Mid November is the highest tourist season in Kyoto. We advice strongly the participants to make a hotel booking as early as possible.
