Travel to the University of Tokyo (Hongo Campus)

Location of the University
The University of Tokyo (Hongo Campus) is located at Bunkyo-ku in Tokyo.
The stations near the university are
Ueno and
Okachimachi on the JR Yamanote line,
Ochanomizu on the JR Chuo line, and
Keisei-Ueno on the Keisei line.
When you come from these stations, it is convenient to take a taxi.
The nearest subway stations are
Hongo-san-chome on the Marunouchi line and the Oedo line,
Nezu and
Yushima on the Chiyoda line, and
Todai-mae on the Nanboku line.
You can walk to the university from these subway stations.
Our building is located behind the clock tower called Yasuda-koudou.
It is the newest and tallest building there.
The building is called
Faculty of Science Bldg. I.
The High Energy Theory Group is located on the 9th floor.

Travel to the University
- From Narita Airport
It is most convenient to take a
Keisei Skyliner train from Narita airport. The destination would be the Keisei-Ueno station.
It takes about 45 minutes from the airport to this station.
More
information about the Keisei line is available on the Internet.
Another option is to take Narita express in JR line from the airport which takes you to Tokyo
station in about 55 minutes.

- From Haneda Airport
There is a Tokyo-Monorail Airport Rapid train that takes 17 min to get to Hamamatsucho station from
the airport.
Then take the JR Yamanote line to go to Ueno station.
- From Tokyo Station
There are three ways to go to the university from
Tokyo station.
The first is by the JR Yamanote line
to Ueno or Okachimachi, the second is by
the JR Chuo line to
Ochanomizu, and the third is by
the Marunouchi subway line to
Hongo-san-chome. It takes about 10 minutes to Ueno,
about 5 minutes to Ochanomizu, and about 10 minutes
to Hongo-san-chome.
