Who am I?
Hi! Welcome to my web site. I'm Masahito YAMAZAKI, a graduate student at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, the University of Tokyo. I'm also involved in the newly build institute of University of Tokyo, Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe, and spending considerable time in California Institute of Technology. I'm majoring in theoretical physics, and in particular theoretical elementary particle physics.
I'm mainly engaged in research in string theory, but I'm also interested in related areas, such as particle phenomenology, cosmology and mathematics.
My recent reseach interest includes:
- quiver gauge theories, brane tilings
- AdS/CFT correspondence, Sasaki-Einstein manifolds
- homological mirror symmetry, McKay correspondence
- string phenomenology
- flux compacitification and moduli stabilization
- solitons in field theory and string theory
- amoeba and tropical geometry
- F-theory/Heterotic Duality
- the theory on M2-branes
- crystal melting, wall crossing phenomena and topological string theory
- non-relativistic AdS/CFT correspondence
